Physical Infrastructure Layer (DePIN Devices)

Physical Infrastructure Layer (DePIN Devices)

This layer comprises the hardware and firmware that collect and transmit energy data from solar projects.

  • Components:

    • EdmondX Devices: Smart solar power meters (e.g., ESP32, Raspberry Pi) deployed at solar sites.

      • Firmware: Generates ed25519 keypairs, measures energy production (kWh), signs transactions (e.g., energy sold, carbon credits earned), and buffers data locally.

    • Sensors: Capture real-time energy production and consumption metrics from solar panels.

  • Role: Collects raw energy data and securely feeds it into the decentralized network for processing by smart contracts.
